Artificial insemination (AI) service

The artificial insemination and biotechnology research centres are located in different regions in Thailand in order to promote and support the livestock production, especially on encouraging reproductive performance. Our veterinarians, animal scientists and staff are willing to diagnose and solve reproductive problems by applying biotechnology, including artificial insemination and embryo transfer technique, to service all Thai farmers.

Dairy web service

Rationale and importance

Due to the excessive amount of data in dairy cattle farm, the bureau of biotechnology in livestock production develops the internet-based system, called dairy web service, to manage and analyse all information. This system will calculate and predict important events to alarm the veterinarians and staff to reach the farm’s situation and solve the problems as soon as possible. 

There are four types of information contained in this database as following:

  1. Farm and cow registration
  2. Artificial insemination activity
  3. Quantity and quality of milk production
  4. Health and vaccination 

Nowadays, the dairy web service has been developed to use on smart devices such as tablet and smart phone under the real-time database system project. Therefore, veterinarians and staff are able to reach and access the data faster which can encourage and strengthen the farm management in Thailand. 

The real-time database system can be separated into three programmes which are suitable for each type of user as following:
